Romantic Movies 2008
A year doesn’t go by where romance films aren’t made. Love, all of it rapture and struggles, is such an integral part of the journey of life that one would have to consciously exclude this from a script for a movie to be made without touching on it. Therefore, every year a large number of films are released, which are either centered on romance, or contain a love story in the plot, even if it is not the main focus.
In 2008, the variety and range of the romantic movies that came out was considerable. We saw several very popular and established actors appear in these films, such as Academy Award winner Meryl Streep in the musical “Mamma Mia!” and Richard Gere in the screen adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks’ novel, “Nights in Rodanthe”. If you are a fan of these two stars and would like to view some of their other films, then be sure to check out their individual posts, at Meryl Streep Movies and Richard Gere Movies. In this year, there were also several historical movies released with vastly different and exotic settings. And, of course we could not exclude the adorable “Wall-E”, which includes a very sweet love story.
