McAdams is well-known for her bright smile and girl-next-door demeanor. But in fact one of her first roles was in the teenage movie, “Mean Girls”, where she played a popular and not-so-nice teenager. After that, she played the romantic heroine in the adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks novel, “The Notebook”. McAdams’ most recent release is “Midnight in Paris”, from Academy award winning director and writer Woody Allen. The movie which just premiered in June of 2011 is set, as its title indicates, in Paris, France. McAdams will also reprise the role of Irene Adler in the upcoming “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” which is scheduled to premier in December of 2011. She starred as Irene Adler in the first Holmes film in 2009. And coming next year is the romantic movie “The Vow” in which McAdams has a lead role. The flick is likely to be released in February of 2012.
