While Damon is usually thought of as an actor who stars in usually dramas, thrillers or action flicks, he has also starred in his fair share of romance movies. For example, fans of period movies may be interested in watching “All the Pretty Horses”, in which Damon plays a Texan cowboy and the romantic lead, across from actress Penélope Cruz. This period and western film from 2000 was directed by Billy Bob Thornton. If however, you would prefer a more recent romantic flick, then you can’t miss his most recent film, “The Adjustment Bureau” released in March of 2011. Damon stars alongside Emily Blunt in this romantic thriller.

Looking for a good children’s film in which Matt Damon has a part, then check out these two animated features “Titan A.E.” and “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron”, in which Damon voiced one of the main characters. Of course, if you are looking for some exciting action and thriller movies, then the Bourne movies, beginning with “The Bourne Identity”, would be our recommendation. Back in 1998, Damon won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay with Ben Affleck for the script of the film “Good Will Hunting”. Damon and Affleck also won the Golden Globe for Best Screenplay for that same film.

Matt Damon New Movies 2011

Matt Damon has two new films coming to theatres soon. The first is the children’s animated picture “Happy Feet Two” in which Damon voices the character of “Bill the Krill”. This flick is set to be released in November of 2011. Coming out the next month, in December of 2011, is the drama and comedy “We Bought A Zoo”. In this movie, Damon stars alongside Scarlett Johansson, Thomas Haden Church and Elle Fanning. So, those are two new ones to add to the his movie list.

But Damon has also released a few other pictures in 2011, like the above mentioned "The Adjustment Bureau" in the March. And then several months later in September, Damon was part of the ensemble cast in the dramatic thriller “Contagion”. Some of the other cast members included Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Winslet, Laurence Fishburne, Jude Law and Marion Cotillard. And this is just the films which Matt Damon has been involved in that premiered in the year of 2011.
