With red hair, freckles and an innocent smile, Lohan burst onto the big screen in the family film “Parent Trap”, a remake of the 1960s classic. This was one of Lohan’s first starring roles, and she was just a young girl. In the next few years, she continued to make family friendly films, such as the Disney television movie, “Life Size”. Lohan then progressed into flicks that would fall into either the teenage movies genre or the chick flicks category. “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” and “Mean Girls” could actually fall into both categories. The movie “Georgia Rule”, while also a chick flick, addresses some darker issues and in fact received an R rating from the MPAA. This movie, set in a small town in Idaho, looks at the bonds between three generations of outspoken and troubled women in one family. Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman costar, and the film was directed by Garry Marshall. If, however, you are in the mood for a lighter movie starring Lohan, then try out “Just My Luck”, a romantic comedy film from 2006. The most recent film in which she had a supporting role was the action flick “Machete”.
