While Stewart might only be in her early twenties, she has already appeared in a variety of motion pictures, ranging from darker independent features to mainstream romance movies. One of her first big film roles was in the thriller “Panic Room” with Jodie Foster. She was part of the cast in several other flicks such as “Catch that Kid” and “Speak”.
Then in 2007, several films were released in which she was a part of the cast. For example one was the romantic drama “In the Land of Women”, in which Stewart plays Meg Ryan’s daughter and love interest to the main character played by Adam Brody. Another was “Into the Wild”, a biopic and adventure drama partially set in Alaska. Sean Penn wrote the screenplay for this film and was also the director. Stewart has a supporting role.
Then, she was one of the main characters in the romantic drama “The Yellow Handkerchief” alongside William Hurt, Maria Bello and Eddie Redmayne. The flick premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2008, and had a limited release to theatres in February of 2010. Also, in 2008, Stewart starred as Bella Swan in the first of the immensely popular Twilight Saga movies. Stewart has continued to bring this character to life in the first three pictures, and will play Bella again in the fourth film “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” which is scheduled to be released in November of 2011.
