Garner has established herself, not only in the television industry, but in the film industry as well, having starred in several popular romantic comedies and chick flicks. Early in her career, she had been active in both in the television and film industry, but it was in 2001 with the hit television series “Alias” that Garner really came into limelight. In this series which combined action, intrigue and adventure, Garner played Sydney Bristow, the protagonist. Before this series, Garner had acted in several television series, as well as had roles in some films, one of which was the comedy “Dude, Where’s My Car?”.

While working on “Alias”, Garner was still acting in films. One of those films was the romantic comedy and chick flick “13 Going on 30”, where she played a thirteen year old girl, who is transported into her future, more specifically, to herself at age thirty. But this wasn’t her only romantic flick. Garner starred with actor Matthew McConaughey in the comedy and romance “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past”. And as a member of the ensemble cast for the romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day”, Garner played character Julia Fitzpatrick. The story tracks the love lives of different characters around one Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles, California.

On a side note, Garner acted in two fantasy action films. The first one was “Daredevil” where Ben Affleck played the title character, and Garner brought to life a supporting character “Elektra”. She reprised this role in a film based entirely on this character, entitled “Elektra”.

Her most recently released work was the comedy “Arthur”, which featured Russell Brand, Helen Mirren and Greta Gerwig. Heir to a large fortune, Arthur’s family are demanding that he marry Garner’s character, Susan Johnson, however, Arthur heart is somewhere else. Coming out next summer, more specifically, August of 2012, is the fantasy and family film “The Odd Life of Timothy Green”.
