Hilary Duff Movies
There are some actors and actresses who do not gain fame until they are already adults in their twenties and thirties. But then there are some who acquire fame when they are still children. This second scenario is what happened with actress Hilary Duff. As a young girl, she became well-known for her lead role on the television series, “Lizzie McGuire”, bringing to life the main character, Lizzie. She branched out from television work and starred in several romantic comedy movies, such as “The Perfect Man” and the TV movie “Beauty & the Briefcase”.
While she has starred in several teenage movies, both on the big screen and the small, a good choice for a romantic one is “A Cinderella Story”. As the title suggests, this is a modern re-telling of the fairy tale, where Duff plays Sam Montgomery, the modern Cinderella, and the story is set in a California high school. The film also features Chad Michael Murray, Jennifer Coolidge and Regina King. Want to see a good chick flick in which Duff is the star? Then you may like “Material Girls”, which co-stars her own sister, Haylie Duff. In 2008, she costarred with John Cusack in the satirical film “War, Inc.”. Most recently, she is scheduled to play Bonnie Parker in “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde”, which is set to premier in either 2011 or 2012.
