Gwyneth Paltrow Movies
There are lots of romantic flicks to choose from that Gwyneth Paltrow has starred in, especially if you are looking for some good comedies. In fact in 1996, fairly early in her career, Paltrow starred in two funny and romance films. The first was “The Pallbearer” with David Schwimmer and the second was “Emma” with James Cosmo. “Emma” is based on the cherished story authored by Jane Austen.
Two years later, in 1998, Paltrow starred in three romantic films. The first was another literary adaptation, “Great Expectations” based on the classic Charles Dickens’ work of the same name. Then came the chick flick “Sliding Doors”, and that was followed by the very popular romantic comedy and drama “Shakespeare in Love”. For her role as Viola De Lesseps in “Shakespeare in Love”, Paltrow won an Oscar.
Paltrow has continued to make a nice variety of romances, such as the 2002 flick “Possession” which is a mixture of a modern day mystery and romance, along with a tale of historical romance. Her most recent release is the thriller “Contagion”, which contains an ensembles cast of some very popular actors, like Kate Winslet, Matt Damon and Jude Law. This picture was released on September 9th of 2011.
