Before Clooney became a big screen film star, with everything from actions to romantic movies under his belt, Clooney worked on several different television series. While many people know that he had a role on the series “ER”, about ten years before that, he was on another series with pretty much the same name “E/R”. However, this series did not last nearly as long as the later “ER”. Some other television series that Clooney appeared on were “Facts of Life” and “Roseanne”. Clooney started on the series “ER” in 1994, and played the role of Dr. Doug Ross.

A few years later, Clooney starred in Robert Rodriguez’s horror comedy “From Dusk Till Dawn”. In that same year, Clooney was featured alongside Michelle Pfeiffer in the romantic comedy “One Fine Day”. It would be a few more years before Clooney starred in his next romantic funny flick “Intolerable Cruelty” with Catherine Zeta-Jones. And most recently, he played Ryan Bingham in the romantic drama “Up In the Air”.

Clooney hasn’t limited his involvement in the film industry to just acting. In 2002, Clooney not only acted in, but also directed the biopic “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”. Just three years later, the historical drama about Edward R. Murrow, “Good Night, and Good Luck.” was directed by Clooney, from a screenplay which he co-wrote with Grant Heslov. On top of that, Clooney also had a role in the picture too.Then in 2008, Clooney directed and starred in the comedy/drama “The Leatherheads”.

Clooney currently stars in two new pictures which are coming to theatres. The first is “The Ides of March” which was also directed by Clooney from a screenplay he co-wrote. It is set to be released on October 7th, 2011. After that, Clooney is featured in the drama “The Descendants” coming in November of 2011.
