Emma Stone Movies
In the last few years, Stone’s movie career has really begun to take off. Just in 2011 alone, she stars in three new films. Being released on July 22nd, the first flick is the romantic comedy “Friends with Benefits”, in which Stone has a supporting role. Then, premiering the very next week, on July 29th, is the romantic drama/comedy “Crazy, Stupid, Love”, where she plays Ryan Gosling’s love interest. And finally, on August 10th, Stone plays protagonist Eugenia “Skeeter” Phelan, in the 1960s period movie “The Help”. This picture is an adaptation of the bestselling novel of the same name written by Kathryn Stockett and it takes place in Mississippi.
But Stone has also appeared as either a supporting cast member or protagonist in several other romantic films, such as “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past”. And last year, in 2010, she played the lead in the romantic teen comedy “Easy A”, which was very loosely based on Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel “The Scarlet Letter”. “Easy A” is set in Ojai California and also co-stars Penn Badgley and Amanda Bynes. Before these pictures, Stone’s first big movie role was in the teenage comedy “Superbad”.
