Chick Flicks 2011
Looking for a brand new chick flick? Then our selection here should be able to help. For those looking for something that is set in high school, then the teenage movie, “Prom” and also the remake of the popular musical “Footloose” are two films to consider. Interested in some period dramas, there are three on this list.
One is “Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” which is set both in China during the 1800s, as well as contemporary Shanghai. The other period picture, “The Help” is set in the 1960s and takes place in a city in Mississippi. And the third is the French film “Mozart’s Sister” set in 18th century Europe, and centered on the life of Nannerl Mozart.
If you are looking for something that the whole family can watch and enjoy together, check out the inspirational drama “Soul Surfer”, based on the true story of surfer Bethany Hamilton. This film is rated PG by the MPAA. On a different note, for a hilarious comedy (for adults since it is rated R), try “Bridesmaids” with Saturday Night Live star Kristen Wiig.
