The film which really helped to launch Hathaway’s acting career was the endearing movie “The Princess Diaries”. This is a cute teenage comedy, with some elements of drama and a little bit of romance too. After this picture though, she did not limit herself to this sub-genre only, but branched out, acting in flicks from many different types. As you will see from the list below, she has a broad collection of films under her belt, from historical pictures to thrillers, and also romantic comedies and fantasy films. Hathaway was featured in the family fantasy film “Ella Enchanted”, and also brought to life a young Jane Austen in the romantic period movie, “Becoming Jane”.
Hathaway is a very busy actress and has films coming out all the time. In 2010, Hathaway starred in several films, from the romantic drama, “Love and Other Drugs”, the fantasy film “Alice in Wonderland” to the ensemble romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day”.
In 2011, she voiced one of the characters in the cartoon film “Rio” and she also has another romantic picture coming out mid-year, entitled “One Day”.
