Adam Sandler Movies
While Sandler has made a name for himself as a comedic actor and writer, his films are not restricted to just comedies alone. Actually, several of his pictures are also romantic.
One of his first funny and romantic films was “Billy Madison”, which premiered in 1995, and then the next year, Sandler starred in another, “Happy Gilmore”.
Both of these flicks are very humorous and on top of that they also include elements of love and romance.
His list of romantic movies doesn’t end there though. So far, he has starred in two with Drew Barrymore. The first one was “The Wedding Singer”, released in 1998. This film in fact is listed on our best romantic comedies article, so if you would like some supplementary details and a small synopsis, check out that page. Then six years later, in 2004, they teamed up again in “50 First Dates”. Further information on this film can be discovered on our article devoted simply to Drew Barrymore and her list of movies.
For a little different story, one that still has elements of humor, along with drama and a good love story, consider the picture “Punch-Drunk Love”. Sandler stars across from Emily Watson, in this flick, which was written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. In fact for his performance in this movie, Sandler was nominated for a Golden Globe for best actor. In 2007, Sandler co-starred with Kevin James and Jessica Biel in the romantic comedy, “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry”, which is set in Brooklyn, New York. And just released in February of 2011, was another romantic funny flick entitled “Just Go With It”. Sandler’s newest picture is the comedy “Jack and Jill” which is scheduled to be released in November of 2011.
